MY LAST CORE ROTATION IS DONE!! Wow, 3rd year flew by!!
Family medicine was a very helpful rotation. It allowed for meaningful patient communication and education. It was my first outpatient rotation and I enjoyed seeing a different perspective. The shelf exam was tricky to study for because it is a very broad field. It was a good review for Step 2 CK because it covers so many subject areas such as internal medicine, pediatrics and Ob/Gyn.

Overall, the exam was fair. FM has a wide variety of topics. This is a great review for Step 2 CK and getting ready for 4th year electives. UWorld does a good job of going over the most important concepts. Being in the outpatient setting was very different than many of the other rotations and it was a nice change. This rotation was amazing and I learned a lot! Being done 3rd year feels surreal. Every core rotation was such an amazing learning experience and I truly enjoyed each one in different ways. Good luck studying,
